Lucknow, June 12, 2026: Montra Electric, the sustainable mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has strengthened its presence in Uttar Pradesh with the inauguration of a new dealership in Lucknow in partnership with SP Motor. The outlet will retail and service Montra Electric's electric three-wheeler portfolio, including the passenger carrier SUPER AUTO and cargo carrier SUPER CARGO.
The launch was followed by the introduction of SUPER AUTO and SUPER CARGO at The Lilli Villas Hotel, Lucknow, along with a vehicle rally across the city, underscoring Montra Electric's commitment to expanding electric mobility adoption in one of India's key mobility markets.
Uttar Pradesh remains at the centre of India's three-wheeler ecosystem, with over 3 lakh three-wheelers registered in FY26, according to Vahan data. Electric three-wheelers also accounted for 58% of the state's total EV registrations in May 2026, reflecting the segment's growing momentum. Montra Electric already has over 500 vehicles operating in Lucknow, strengthening its position in a market that is increasingly embracing electric mobility.
The new dealership will serve as a one-stop sales and service hub, offering vehicle sales, maintenance, spare parts and customer support. The integrated facility is designed to improve vehicle uptime and deliver a seamless ownership experience for customers in Lucknow and nearby markets.

SUPER CARGO is built for urban logistics and goods movement, with a 6.2-foot cargo deck and 170-cubic-foot container suited for e-commerce, FMCG, retail, beverage and agricultural produce deliveries.
