Kolkata, December 21, 2025: Montra Electric today announced its formal entry into the Kolkata market for the Super Cargo with the delivery of the first lot of electric light commercial vehicles. The batch will be deployed to support last-mile e-commerce operations under Dash-EV’s memorandum of understanding with logistics major “Delhivery”, marking a key step in expanding sustainable logistics solutions in eastern India.
The Super Cargo by Montra Electric designed for high-turnover urban e-commerce, features a 1.2 Ton GVW and a 170 cubic feet container, optimized for both efficiency and volume. This deployment prioritizes driver comfort with a spacious cabin and offers a best-in-class range backed by a 5-year/1.75 Lac kms battery warranty to ensure a superior total cost of ownership.
For seamless operations, the vehicles include the “I’m One Montra Electric” application for real-time tracking, enabling partners to reduce emissions without compromising on the speed and reliability essential for last-mile delivery.
The delivered Super Cargos are zero-emission vehicles designed for dense urban routes and high-turnover delivery cycles. The initial batch of 15 Super Cargo vehicles, supplied through Montra Electric’s authorised dealership Selladale Motors, is part of a larger order that signals a multi-phase rollout across Kolkata and surrounding districts.
This deployment aims to reduce emissions from last-mile delivery while maintaining the speed and reliability required by e-commerce partners.
Mr. Deependra Sharma, CEO e-3W, Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility), said:
“This delivery underlines our commitment to building cleaner, scalable logistics in India’s major cities. Kolkata is a vital e-commerce hub, and by partnering with Dash-EV, Delhivery and Selladale Motors, we are enabling more sustainable delivery operations that benefit businesses, consumers and the city’s air quality.”
Mr. Annant Kumar Mall, Managing Director of Dash-EV, added:
“Integrating the Montra Electric Super Cargo into our fleet allows us to provide our partner like ‘Delhivery’ with reliable, zero-emission transport solutions without compromising on speed. We look forward to scaling this partnership further as we expand our sustainable delivery footprint across Eastern India.”
Montra Electric’s Super Cargo is engineered for urban duty cycles with a focus on payload efficiency, compact footprint and charging practicality. The vehicles will integrate with Delhivery’s existing fleet operations through Dash-EV’s deployment framework, enabling immediate use on last-mile routes while laying the groundwork for a larger, phased adoption of electric vehicles across the region.
The approach combines vehicle supply, local servicing via Selladale Motors and operational support from Dash-EV to ensure a smooth transition to electric logistics.
The move aligns with broader industry trends toward electrification of urban delivery fleets driven by regulatory incentives, rising fuel costs and corporate sustainability targets. Montra Electric plans to scale deliveries in Kolkata as subsequent lots arrive, reinforcing a long-term partnership model with logistics providers and local dealers to build a resilient, local EV ecosystem.
