New Delhi, 06 July 2026: Montra Electric, India's full-spectrum electric commercial vehicle brand, today signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) under the Government of India’s Scheme for support to the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) policy for replacement of old trucks and buses in the National Capital Region. The MoUs with MoRTH were signed by Montra Electric’s e-MHCV and e-SCV businesses in New Delhi.
This NCRPB policy is designed to facilitate the replacement of ageing, polluting commercial vehicles operating in the region. This early adoption of electric commercial vehicles aims to improve air quality through zero vehicular emissions and support India’s broader decarbonisation objectives. Both Montra entities will support eligible fleet operators and customers by offering their electric mobility solutions, helping accelerate the transition towards cleaner freight movement across the region.
This initiative aligns with Montra Electric's broader mission of delivering purpose-built electric mobility solutions across commercial vehicle segments.
